Breast Lift Surgery (Mastopexy) – Chino / Chino Hills / California

It’s widely known that aging, childbirth/nursing, and weight fluctuations will take their toll on the appearance of breasts. Women who are displeased with a high degree of breast sagging (ptosis) can undergo breast lift surgery, which does not utilize implants, but does elevate the breasts to a more youthful, attractive position. If your goal is also to enlarge the size of the breast or achieve more fullness on the top of the breast mound, then an implant can be placed with the lift or as a separate procedure with a later surgery.

There are several breast lift surgery techniques. Depending on your body type and desired results, one of the following methods may be used:

Crescent lift: best for minor ptosis; a crescent-shaped tissue is removed
Benelli lift: less invasive, also known as a “donut” lift; a donut-shaped tissue is removed, with incisions masked by the areola
Lollipop lift: very common and best for medium ptosis; a lollipop-shaped incision is made
Full Mastopexy: a common technique, used for severe ptosis; involves an anchor-shaped incision and repositioning of the nipple

Generally speaking, all of the above methods involve the removal of excess, stretched-out breast skin and possibly a small amount of tissue, followed by a “tightening” of the remaining skin and tissue to elevate the bustline to a higher point. If implants are desired, implants can be placed through the same incision, therefore the breast lift / augmentation can be combined into one procedure.
