What is Asian Eyelid Surgery?

Asian Eyelid Surgery (double eyelid surgery), reshapes the skin of the upper eyelid to manifest a deeper and a slightly higher crease.

The structural component of Asian and Caucasian eyelids are the same, however the attachment points may create varying crease length and depth in the upper eyelid. Approximately half the Asian population lack the double-fold look. This may cause narrowing of the eye aperture or cause difficulty with application of eyeliners.

Although, some refer to this as a ‘Westernization’ type of cosmetic procedure, if done conservatively and selectively, it will preserve the native ethnicity and will not alter the beautiful exotic Asian look.
