Microdermabrasion Diamond Tip
Harsh environmental elements like the sun, smoke and pollution can take a toll on your skin. Microdermabrasion treatments at TrueCare can counteract this damage, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, minimizing acne scars, eliminating age spots and restoring a clear and fantastic facial appearance.
What is Microdermabrasion Diamond Tip?
Microdermabrasion Diamond Tip is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. It removes the outermost layer of the dead skin cells to reveal fresher, younger cells beneath. It also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. A safe, pain free and simple method of rejuvenating skin, microdermabrasion is gentle enough to treat any skin type. When performed correctly, microdermabrasion can:
- Improve age spots and blackheads.
- Improve hyperpigmentation.
- Achieve a refreshed and rejuvenated facial appearance.
- Lessen the appearance of stretch marks.
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Reduce or eliminate enlarged pores.
- Treat active acne and acne scars.
An overview of the procedure
Your microdermabrasion treatment will last 30 to 60 minutes. It will exfoliate the area, like a “superficial skin polish.” This process is virtually pain-free, with some patients only experiencing a slight warming sensation.
You will require more than one treatment to ensure optimal results, as the microdermabrasion system helps to produce thicker and healthier skin layers over time. In general, most patients need about six treatments spaced two to four weeks apart to achieve their desired effect. There is no downtime associated with microdermabrasion, however your skin will be more sensitive than usual after treatment. As such, you will be advised to stay out of the sun and apply recommended SPF daily.

Are you a candidate for microdermabrasion?
As with all of our cosmetic treatments, microdermabrasion candidacy is determined on an individual basis, following a thorough discussion of the patient’s cosmetic goals, concerns and desires. With that said, ideal candidates for the treatment generally:
- Want to correct fine facial lines, wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, clogged pores, skin texture irregularities and minor scars.
- Want to address rosacea or acne.
- Are in good general health with relatively minor skin conditions.
- Are not pregnant.
Patients with deep scars, facial creases or moderate-to-severe skin conditions may not be ideal candidates for microdermabrasion, because they are likely to require a stronger treatment, such as a chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing.
While these general guidelines can help to give you an idea of who can benefit from microdermabrasion, please note that the only way to know for sure if you are a candidate is to schedule a private consultation today.
